I don't know what you're talking about. The Harry Partch piece doesn't sound anything like anything on "Swordfishtrombones"; nor does "Ice Cream for Crow" remind me in the least of Waits' "Heart Attack & Vine."

reference all you want. he's a thief. of kerouac too. mind you, i'm a fan. i juar wish he would acknowledge his influences more often. instead of letting middle age white suburban boys think he's 'the real deal'. yeah. i said it. i could put on a pork pie hat, smoke a dozen cigars, listen to 'spoonfull', and play a clumsy vibraphone too.
